In my first industry job, I was surprised to learn that the biggest accelerator of progress in industrial Research and Development projects - and the one easiest to achieve - is paying attention to HOW work is structured.

For years, I am earning my income from advising on process improvement, systematically planning technology development efforts, and "Operational Excellence" measures in general.
